Who we are

Inseris LLC is a management and IT consulting firm based in the Washington DC metro area. This policy covers data collected through our website at inseris.com.

What we collect

Contact form

When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This information is sent to us via email and is used only to respond to your inquiry. We do not store these form submissions in a database. Our email delivery provider, Resend, processes submissions on our behalf.

AI assistant

Our website includes an AI assistant provided by Austur, a product of Inseris LLC. Messages you type or dictate, and information about the page where you use the assistant, are processed by Austur and its AI providers to generate responses. Conversation summaries and contact details you choose to share may be used by Inseris to follow up on your inquiry.

The assistant also collects engagement information, such as page views and widget usage. These records use identifiers that may associate activity with conversations and visitor profiles on our site. Page-view analytics are disabled automatically if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. This control applies to the assistant's page-view analytics, separately from Google Analytics.

If you use voice input, your audio is processed for transcription; Austur does not store audio recordings. The resulting messages are handled as conversation data. See Austur's privacy policy for details.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use our site. This service may collect anonymized data such as pages visited, time on site, browser type, and general geographic region. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cloudflare

Our site is served through Cloudflare, which may collect technical data (IP addresses, browser headers) for security and performance purposes. Cloudflare Turnstile is used on our contact form to prevent spam. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Cookies and local storage

Our site uses cookies set by Google Analytics and Cloudflare. These are used for analytics and security purposes only. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across other websites.

The AI assistant stores conversation state in your browser's session storage and a session identifier and timestamp in local storage. Sessions expire after one hour of inactivity, but local storage may remain until it is replaced when you return or you clear your browser data. Session cookies, where used, expire after one hour.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained in our email for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention settings.

Austur keeps chat, contact and engagement records collected through the assistant in its operational database on a 180-day schedule, measured from creation of each record, with older records removed by daily cleanup. Visitor profiles and session records are retained separately from conversation logs and may remain after those logs are deleted. Copies delivered to Inseris, including emails and exports, are subject to our own retention practices.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To make a request, reach out through our contact form.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
